Pieces of the Sky isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Emmylou Harris on ‘Bluebird Wine’. On the Malta charts, superstar Emmylou Harris’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This is what good Country should be.
Overall a nice softer song. I’ve found myself listening to Too Far Gone back to back and back many times. If I Could Only Win Your Love is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Boulder to Birmingham is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Before Believing - A strong beat. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. The opening track Sleepless Nights is very much like you would expect from other albums. In Coat of Many Colors the music gets its power. For No One one is one of the better boring ones.
