three years ago, Eric Clapton briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Presence Of The Lord”. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Eric Clapton has. I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘E.C. Was Here’ really is amazing. I Love E.C. Was Here from start to finish!
Presence Of The Lord is one of these floating songs. Driftin’ Blues is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Can’t Find My Way Home - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Ramblin’ On My Mind still maintains something of a specific flourish. Further On Up The Road is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.
