There is no doubt that Hugh Masekela has talent. six years ago, Hugh Masekela briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Mama”. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Mama
Mama - For me, this is the best of the album. This song stands out greatly from the others. Ashiko was the first single release from the album The Boy’s Doin’ It. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Musically A Person Is a Sometime Thing is superior to other tracks in The Boy’s Doin’ It. Only one song from The Boy’s Doin’ It named Colonial Man really got me. Listening to A Song for Brazil you can hear that Hugh Masekela has still amazing chemistry with band members. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Hi-Life is possibly the best song Hugh Masekela has come up. I came to like You Told Your Mama Not to Worry. Mami Wata has a fun tempo.
