Malicorne had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. IF YOU LIKE ALL Malicorne’S SONG GO FOR IT! This disc has all of the essential Malicorne classics. Exciting stuff.
Le Garcon Jardinier is a good listen every once in a while. This is probably my favorite song on the album. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. I can’t stop playing Cortege De Noce. Branle La Peronelle is really the reason why I recommend buying Malicorne II. Some of the arrangements found on Malicorne II are surprisingly edgy. Still going through Malicorne II and coming to appreciate Marions Les Roses (Chant De Quete) more and more with every listen. Suite : Bourree, Scotish-valse is one of the best records ever. Le Bouvier is probably one of Malicorne’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to.
