There is so much to love about Paco De Lucia, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Paco De Lucia was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Paco De Lucia and En Vivo Desde El Teatro Real together. After seeing Alegrias, I had to have a good Paco De Lucia cd. Such great and happy songs.
Paco De Lucia is one of artists that allow his songs like Tarantas to stand on their own and be heard. Voice and instruments in Granainas complement each other. Zapateado is the more seemingly obscure song on En Vivo Desde El Teatro Real that bear up best to repeated listening. Solea - A nice song. Fandangos - My least favorite song on this album. Guajiras is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Rumba is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in En Vivo Desde El Teatro Real.
