Reinhard Mey had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. On Ikarus album, Reinhard Mey have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. There is no doubt that Reinhard Mey has talent. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Hab Erdm Garten - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Reinhard Mey. Weil ich ein Meteorologe bin is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Reinhard Mey breathes new life into the music in Die Homestory. Reinhard Mey offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. If you are a Reinhard Mey fan, you will love Ikarus. Es gibt Tage, da w ich, ich w mein Hund is a strong cut, one of many. Charming song, great melody. Atze Lehmann was the first single release from the album Ikarus. As always, Reinhard Mey’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
