There were many famous songs of Richard Thompson available. For older fans Pour Down Like Silver vs. Linda Thompson will put a massive smile accross your face. Exciting stuff.
For Shame of Doing Wrong is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. There is amazing mix of music in Poor Boy Is Taken Away. Night Comes In is perfect song though, very addictive. Opening track Jet Plane in a Rocking Chair shows the best of Richard Thompson. Beat the Retreat gets you up and jumping. Hard Luck Stories is simple, dignified and effective, Richard Thompson refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create.
