Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Tina Turner on ‘Under My Tumb’. This is the first studio album from Tina Turner since bad diagnosis in 1975. Tina Turner had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Acid Queen is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Let’s Spend The Night Together as a highlight of Acid Queen contains a ton of perfect melodies. Acid Queen - arguably the best track on Acid Queen album. I Can See For Miles is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Acid Queen have ended. Whole Lotta Love which is my favorite is a truly Tina Turner sounding song. I hope to keep hearing Tina Turner works for a long time to come. Bootsey Whitelaw is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Pick Me Tonight is a marvelous sing-along. Rockin’ and Rollin’ is a good listen every once in a while.
