On Funny Girl album, Barbra Streisand have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Barbra Streisand had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. IF YOU LIKE ALL Barbra Streisand’S SONG GO FOR IT! Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Funny Girl.
More Than You Know is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. It’s Only A Paper Moon - I Like Him is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. It’s Only A Paper Moon - I Like Her is a very catchy tune. There is excellent mix of music in I Found A Million Dollar Baby (In A Five and Ten Cent Sto…). So Long Honey Lamb marked the continuation of Barbra Streisand in style evolution. I Got A Code In My Doze is a excellent, simple song by Barbra Streisand at the top of his game. Clap Hands, Here Comes Charley is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Barbra Streisand allows each song to breathe and flourish. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Am I Blue - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Isn’t This Better is the song that really did it for me. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Funny Girl. In Let’s Hear It For Me the music gets its power. Me and My Shadow is a bit different from Barbra Streisand stereotypical stuff. I can’t stop playing How Lucky Can You Get (Single Mix).
