Chicago was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Chicago and Chicago VIII together. It has been five years Chicago’ last studio CD, “Chicago VIII” which won Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This album has some very good songs like Anyway You Want and Brand New Love Affair, Pts. 1 and 2. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Never Been In Love Before is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Hideaway - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Chicago. Till We Meet Again is almost impossible to review. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Oh, Thank You Great Spirit is a amazing sing-along. Chicago allows each song to breathe and flourish. After few listenings I started to like Ain’t It Blue? more and more. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin.
