Frida Boccara was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Frida Boccara and Oriundi together. There is so much to love about Frida Boccara, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Oriundi isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Oriundi is not something you should pass up.
Tu me ressembles is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Un homme de partout is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Qui est Martin is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. From the moment you listen to Tristan you’re hooked. Ave la vita is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Get Oriundi and turn on La Chanson de l’ephant if you are going to sip your wine late at night. A great put together song. I love the melodic melody of Le maximum de qualite and to this day it makes me feel good. Music in Mon Dieu qui n’existe pas is exquisite as in all tracks of Oriundi. This track is full of harmonies and gets Oriundi off to a relaxing start. Vivre libre is a amazing sing-along. Une plante a L’aventure is worth the money. Frida Boccara rocks harder than ever with Il n’ya qu’un soleil pour toute la terre. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot.
