Joan Baez was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Joan Baez and The Lovesong Album together. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Joan Baez energies, virtually a rebirth. On the Thailand charts, superstar Joan Baez’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. The Lovesong Album constantly brilliant.
The Lovesong Album couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track So We’ll Go No More A-Roving. Once I Knew a Pretty Girl had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Death of Queen Jane - This is a very lively song. When I listen to All in Green Went My Love Riding in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. River in the Pines - a classic song. A great put together song. Danger Waters (Hold Me Tight) is a astounding sing-along. House Carpenter is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through The Lovesong Album. No Joan Baez song has come close to capturing my attention as Once I Had a Sweetheart did. Voice of Joan Baez in Plaisir d’Amour is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Joan Baez is one of artists that allow his songs like Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands to stand on their own and be heard. Wild Mountain Thyme is a very catchy tune. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Love Is Just a Four-Letter Word good vocals. Sweet Sir Galahad is outstanding work of Joan Baez. Come All Ye Fair and Tender Maidens is the first taste of the new album. Love Minus Zero/No Limit is one of these floating songs.
