‘Radio Activity’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Kraftwerk has. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Kraftwerk’s new album to that on ‘Radio Activity’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Radio Activity.
I listened to the opening track Radioactivity and liked it a lot. Simple and heartfelt closing track Radioland closes Radio Activity on a high note. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Radio Activity is Airwaves. Intermission - A nice song. From the moment you listen to News you’re hooked. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. There is exquisite mix of music in Antenna. Some call Radio Stars from Radio Activity as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Album opener Uranium is a bright, upbeat ditty. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Radio Activity. Ohm Sweet Ohm is a romantic if not formulaic ditty.
