Since Olivia Newton-John last CD (Have You Never Been Mellow) on ForeFront Records back in 1975, I have felt a massive void in my life. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Olivia Newton-John’s album Have You Never Been Mellow falls to No. 2 with 115,000, a sales slide of 81%. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Olivia Newton-John. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Olivia Newton-John ever.
Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Loving Arms is my favorite song on Have You Never Been Mellow. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Voice and instruments in Goodbye Again complement each other. Olivia Newton-John allows each song to breathe and flourish. I Never Did Sing You A Love Song is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Olivia Newton-John released so far. It’s So Easy is a strong cut, one of many. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Follow Me - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Olivia Newton-John. This track is just fantastic from start to finish.
