This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. In The Black Widow full palet of sound is used by Alice Cooper to accentuate the presentation. In Some Folks it becomes nowhere more obvious that Alice Cooper has yet to define own style. Only Women Bleed is really the reason why I recommend buying Welcome To My Nightmare. No Alice Cooper song has come close to capturing my attention as Department Of Youth did. It’s such an underrated song. Strong, powerful vocals of Alice Cooper in Years Ago are very impressive. Steven is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Alice Cooper allows each song to breathe and flourish. This track is clearly meant to showcase Alice Cooper’s vocal abilities.
