While no new Amon Duul Ii album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1975 tour in Australia. When you buy a Amon Duul Ii album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Since Amon Duul Ii last CD (Made In Germany) on Sparrow Records back in 1975, I have felt a massive void in my life. Dreams and Ludwig is really good.
Ludwig is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. The King’s Chocolate Waltz is a striking and quite long song. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Emigrant Song is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. La Krautoma is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Metropolis is probably one of Amon Duul Ii’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Loosey Girls is a strong cut, one of many. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Gala Gnome. Top Of The Mud has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Amon Duul Ii’s strong vocals come to the fore. A great put together song.
