It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Charles Mingus energies, virtually a rebirth. I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Changes Two’ really is amazing. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Charles Mingus’s album Changes Two falls to No. 2 with 134,000, a sales slide of 73%. Free Cell Block F, ‘Tis Nazi U.S.A. and Orange Was the Color of Her Dress, Then Blue Silk is really good.
Orange Was the Color of Her Dress, Then Blue Silk (17:32) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Get Changes Two and turn on Black Bats and Poles if you are going to sip your wine late at night. In Duke Ellington’s Sound of Love Charles Mingus spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Listening to For Harry Carney you can hear that Charles Mingus has still amazing chemistry with band members.
