On Spanish Train album, Chris De Burgh have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Self-described as Rock: Pop-Rock with lots of words, Chris De Burgh comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Chris De Burgh has. The sound of Lonely Sky is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This Song For You is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. A Spaceman Came Travelling - another great track from the Spanish Train album. Once you hear I’m Going Home, you will listen to it over and over. The Painter is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Chris De Burgh released so far. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Spanish Train is The Tower. Just Another Poor Boy is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Spanish Train have ended.
