two years ago, Duke Ellington briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Didjeridoo”. ‘The Afro-Eurasian Eclipse’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. IF YOU LIKE ALL Duke Ellington’S SONG GO FOR IT! It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Didjeridoo - To me, this is the best song on the The Afro-Eurasian Eclipse. Duke Ellington must have run out of lyrics on the next track Afrique. Acht O’Clock Rock is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Gong is my favorite song on The Afro-Eurasian Eclipse. In Tang it becomes nowhere more obvious that Duke Ellington has yet to define own style. True is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Hard Way - Check out that bassline!
