Rick Wakeman was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Rick Wakeman and The Myths and Legends Of King Arthur together. seven years ago, Rick Wakeman briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Lady Of The Lake”. When you buy a Rick Wakeman album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This album is awesome.
This track is clearly meant to showcase Rick Wakeman’s vocal abilities. Nice and different song. Sir Lancelot and The Black Knight is simple, dignified and effective, Rick Wakeman refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. It’s such an underrated song. Don’t judge Sir Galahad on the first listening. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with The Last Battle.
