Taiguara’s debut, ‘Imyra, tayra, ipy, taiguara’, does not fit easily into one genre. Taiguara was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Taiguara and Imyra, tayra, ipy, taiguara together. This album has some very good songs like pianice and delrio transatltico e chegada no rio. To me Taiguara is the best band ever.
The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. publico is a bit different from Taiguara stereotypical stuff. terra das palmeiras one of the best in my collection. como em guernica (3:27) a good melody. a volta do passaro amerindio which is my favorite is a truly Taiguara sounding song. luanda, violeta africana is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. situa’o is one of the coolest songs Taiguara has ever recorded. It’s a great pleasure to listen to sete cenas de imyra from the beginning to the end. tres pontas is the gorgeous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. samba das cinco stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. primeira bateria is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Imyra, tayra, ipy, taiguara. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing.
