Now Playing isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. The Ventures had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. There is so much to love about The Ventures, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Exciting stuff.
Everybody’s Talkin’ is a good listen every once in a while. The Man With The Golden Gun motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Last Tango In Paris is pretty funky and mellow. When listening to Theme From Shaft, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. The Ventures breathes new life into the music in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. The opening track Georgy Girl is very much like you would expect from other albums. Theme, Airport 1975 has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. The Morning After is another strong production from The Ventures. I can’t stop playing Live and Let Die. In The Pink Panther Theme you won’t find any flashy solos. This track is clearly meant to showcase The Ventures’s vocal abilities. Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head - A strong beat. The Ballad Of Bonnie and Clyde is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Theme From Lawrence Of Arabia is worth the money.
